A stellar pair of rare modern lounge chairs, circa 1955. Beautifully conceived and expertly crafted solid Walnut construction with solid Brass sabots accenting the leg. Stout and extremely comfortable. A pair of these rare chairs were sold in the Febuary, 2012 Palm Beach Modern Auction as attributed to T. H. Robsjohn-Gibbings. Additionally, another pair were chronicled in a 2010 Elle Decor magazine spread - also noted as being a Gibbings design. These examples are unmarked. Incredible pieces of Jewelry. Important chairs designed to highlight an important space. EXCELLENT RESTORED CONDITION. Meticulous complete professional restoration. The walnut projects a wonderful rich color; lacquer finish with fabulous depth and sheen. The brass accents have been hand-polished and demonstrate lovely patina. Expert custom upholstery in a stunning neutral Romo fabric. There are two (2) match pair available; the price listed is for one (1) pair. Expert custom upholstery service is available.
