Poet sofa model FJ4100 by Finn Juhl

About the Item

The Poet Sofa first saw the light of day at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers Guild Exhibition in 1941 and was originally designed for Finn Juhl's own home. Finn Juhl's furniture was very progressive and sculptural for its time. With this sofa you'll bring a piece of functional art into your home. The two-seater sofa, called model FJ4100 and inspired by surrealist art, exudes comfort and craftsmanship. This sofa is upholstered by hand in Denmark with a beautiful soft yellow Remix fabric from Kvadrat. This fabric consists of multiple colors of thread, which gives you a beautiful mixed fabric. The legs are made of solid walnut. The Poet Sofa is formed in a beautiful curve that almost seems to embrace the seated person. The padded frame is fully upholstered and creates a cozy seat for two people. This sofa is the result of Finn Juhl's ambition to create functional furniture for smaller apartments. The sofa is 136 cm wide, 80 cm deep and 87 cm high. Condition: The sofa has been cleaned and is in very good condition.
