Art Nouveau bentwood rocking chair by the Austrian manufacturer Fischel. Shown here in a slightly smaller version.
A classic rocking chair made of bentwood elements with elaborate ornamentation. A striking stand-alone piece, even in a contemporary setting. The backrest and seat are covered with Viennese wickerwork.
The chair is in very good condition with signs of wear and patina. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
