Monâne is a timeless icon of simplicity and design. Monâne the rocking stool is a playful and intelligent seating that show at its best Swiss engineering.
Designed By Greutmann Bolzern, 2000.
In 1984, Carmen Greutmann-Bolzern (1956) and Urs Greutmann (1959) founded the Greutmann Bolzern Design Studio in Zurich. Their partnership dates back to university days. The trained structural engineering draughtsmen jointly attended the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). She graduated as an interior designer, he as an industrial designer. Today the couple – together with a team of five colleagues – drafts, plans and conceptualises in all areas of design. The studio’s works have been repeatedly awarded. The Monâne rocking stool, which the couple developed for Dietiker, was awarded the Red Dot Award in 2001. Since 2003 Carmen and Urs Greutmann-Bolzern have been sharing a professorship for product design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich
