19th Century Painted Swedish Gustavian Style Settee With Trundle
About the Item
Early Swedish settee/trundle bed hand made with well realized back splats, turned corner supports and subtly accented with delicate leaf shape carved decorations. The settee is in its original condition with the pull out trundle meant to hold a feather mattress still present and working.
Totally handmade with pegged joints, hand carved and planing marks evident on back and interior. Settee shows a greenish paint over a base of white.
