About the Item
Really beautiful Swedish secretary with drop front, interior drawers, cubbies and a secret compartment. Two doors sit on two drawers on the top and there are two small drawers over two large drawers on the bottom. The piece is decorated with lozenge shaped added molding accentuating dropped in panels which are hand beveled. There is an angular pediment top, bracket feet and brass hardware. It is painted in a pleasing soft blue.
Swedish with Gustavian influences and a peppering of English, the piece is handmade with drawers that are dovetailed, mortised joints, planed panels and painted.
When the drop front it down, the piece is 33" deep overall with desk height of 28.5".
