About the Item

A very handsome set of six Italian 18th century solid walnut and original pressed leather side chairs. Each chair is raised on a pair of legs at each side joined by a carved plinth base. The frieze and seat are upholstered in leather finished with brass foliate nail heads. The leather back has gilt tooled designs of armor, and Fleur de Lis symbols at each corner, accented with foliate nail heads at the front and sides, topped by carved acanthus leaf finials. All original patina throughout.
