Four-Seat Sofa in Vinyl Attributed to H.W. Klein for Bramin, Denmark, c. 1960s
About the Item
This sophisticated four-seat sofa, attributed to designer H.W. Klein for the esteemed Danish manufacturer Bramin, exemplifies the elegance of 1960s Scandinavian design. The low-profile frame is upholstered in sleek black vinyl and features two large seat cushions and two expansive back cushions, ensuring exceptional comfort. Distinctive tri-pronged legs provide sturdy support, while the unique tufted detailing—three buttons adorning each arm—adds a touch of refinement.
H.W. Klein was a Norwegian-born designer who moved to Denmark in 1960 to work for Bramin. Bramin, originally known as N.A. Jørgensen, was a Danish furniture manufacturer founded in Bramming, producing mid-century modern pieces throughout the 1950s, '60s, and '70s.
This piece is a remarkable addition to any collector's assemblage or interior design project and can blend seamlessly against a myriad of design backdrops from Mid-Century Modern to Contemporary to Industrial and everything in between. Buy it as is or have it re-upholstered in a fabric of your choosing. Either way, make it yours today before it's gone forever.

Save for newly recovered seat cushions this archetypally Danish Modern four-seater sofa is in original, vintage condition. As stated, the previous owners had new seat cushions (2) recovered in a new marine-grade black vinyl and the contrast between it and the original is very close to the eye. The original vinyl does show some signs of vintage wear such as light scratches, scuffs and small areas of discoloration (all of which can be seen in the detail photos provided). With that said the upholstery is in overall very good shape with no tears, fraying or odors present whatsoever.
As purists we strive to retain our pieces in as original condition as possible, however we do offer in-house upholstery services. If you're interested in re-upholstering this set in a fabric of your choosing please message us prior to checkout to discuss options and pricing.
This ultra-stylish four-seater sofa is incredibly comfortable, structurally solid and ready for decades more of use. Please view all photos and natural light video provided for details on this sofa's current condition. We're limited on the amount of media we can post so additional photos and videos are available upon request.
