This 1950s ‘Sleep-O-Matic’ three-legged sofa by Marco Zanuso for Arflex converts into a divan bed. (The seat is mounted on a track which separates from the backrest.)
There are three splayed brass feet in the front and three vertical supports in the back, and the sofa has been newly reupholstered.
This design was awarded a Gold Medal at the 1951 IX Triennale di Milan.
