A beautiful leather Postmodern bar stool by 'Designs for Leisure', designed and produced in the 1980s, USA. This heavy swivel barstool features a polished bronze finish which is extremely rare as these normally are found in a polished chrome finish. Designs for Leisure was a New York design house that provided high quality seating for the interior design trade from 1970s to 1990s. There are not many great options for vintage barstools - that is partly why these are so highly sought after by designers and architects. Another reason these are in such demand is the incredibly high quality materials and production. They simply don't make things like they used to. Both Art Deco / machine-age styled barstools are hefty and sturdy. No worrying you or your guests could topple over after a couple drinks.
