1940's Mid-Century Modern Butterfly Wingback Chairs

About the Item

These butterfly wing backs are just gorgeous. Each chair represents a truly novel twist on the centuries-old design of the wing chair, reminiscent of Edward Wormley's designs for Dunbar, perfect for today. Impressively built, the exaggerated enveloping wings and tall back make for a truly comfortable chair. Featuring a button-tufted back and wood-trimmed roll arms with subtle brass tack nailhead accents help highlight the charming silhouette while piping details add dimension. Restored and newly upholstered in the most amazing avocado green velvet! Solid wood legs finished in a dark walnut provide a sturdy base and complement the upholstery. These chairs have the perfect proportion and scale and would look beautiful in a traditional-styled home, and works just as well amongst ultra-modern décor.
