19th Century French Buffet a Deux Corps or Sideboard

About the Item

A 19th century French buffet à deux corps from the town of Caux in Normandy, made of solid oak with raised panels and chapeau de gendarme crown with carved details. Buffet provides ample storage with two shelves above and one below. Two blown glass panes original and two replaced. Brass hardware with working locks and two keys. Upper left hinge replaced. Good quality and craftsmanship using pegged construction. Circa 1850 -70 Repairs on the feet.
