About the Item

Ce somptueux buffet d’époque Napoléon III, réalisé en poirier noirci au milieu du XIXe siècle, s’inspire des créations magistrales de l’ébéniste de Louis XIV, Charles André Boulle. Il se distingue par une porte bombée imposante, intégralement incrustée de volutes en laiton ciselé sur un fond d’écaille de tortue, créant un contraste visuel saisissant et une richesse décorative inégalée. La porte est équipée d’une serrure fonctionnelle authentique avec des entrées en bronze, ajoutant une touche d’authenticité et de raffinement. The sideboard's uprights are adorned with espagnolette handles with gilt bronze motifs and trim, reflecting the craftsmanship of the period. The highly ornamented sides are embellished with bronze figures and spandrels, enhancing the elegance and sophistication of this piece. The mahogany interior features two fixed shelves, providing practical storage space while maintaining the luxurious aesthetic of the piece. The top of the sideboard is crafted from Carrara marble, perfectly following the sinuous lines of the piece, adding a touch of nobility and durability.
