French Renaissance Louis XV Style Figural Carved Walnut Curio Display Buffet
About the Item
Antique French Renaissance Louis XV Style Figural Carved Walnut Curio Display Buffet. Item features stunning carvings throughout with maidens and armed soldiers holding flower bouquets, along with various dolphins, serpents, and cherubs with musical instruments. The upper curio display features a glass front with burgundy fabric lined interior. Entry to the curio can be achieved by lifting off the top (see pic 10). The upper curio is further carved with remarkably detailed cornucopias and dolphin heads. The lower cabinet features two small hidden swing doors with small shelves (see pic 13). The top drawer includes a drop front with fabric lined writing desk interior (later custom addition). A truly impressive piece and even more interesting in person.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Top drawer with drop front desk interior appears to have been customized at some point over the years (see pics 11 & 12). Glass front curio looks to originally have had an interior shelf which is no longer included. Very good antique condition.
