18th Century Mathias Tiberg Masterpiece Cabinet

About the Item

An extraordinarily beautiful masterpiece in Rococo from 1754, created by Mathias Tiberg (Master Cabinetmaker in Stockholm, 1755-1775). The cabinet is veneered in walnut and burl walnut on a pine core. As with most masterpieces, the cabinet features rounded corners on both the upper and lower sections. The cornice is swept upwards. Three carved Corinthian capitals adorn the pilasters of the doors. Inside the cabinet are three shelves and three smaller drawers. The lower section of the cabinet has two drawers. The legs are curved and end in volutes. The hardware and key escutcheons are fire-gilded bronze.
