19th Century English Mounted Pine Cellarette Wine Cabinet

About the Item

This is a Regency period, portable cellarette from the fourth quarter of the 19th century that is functional and elegant. It holds six bottles and has side carrying handles for transport. It is stylized with touches like faux crocodile/alligator and a dome-shaped hinged top, which opens to a shallow reserve over a front fitted with six bottle slots and a sliding long drawer, the front accented with brass tack trim throughout. It is made of pine and comes from a large lot of Anglophile estate items. The cabinet has a nice dark patina. There are a few condition issues in the form of nicks to the finish. The overall wear is commensurate with age. Measures: 14 1/2 inches high, 23 inches wide, 10 1/2 inches deep.
