Hand Crafted Brutalist Giuseppe Rivadossi Glazed Cabinet in Oak Italy, the 1970s

About the Item

Hand crafted Brutalist Giuseppe Rivadossi glazed cabinet in oak Italy, the 1970s. A superb oak glazed cabinet by the Italian sculptor and designer Giuseppe Rivadossi, featuring a high level of craftsmanship in woodwork. The lower part has built-in shelves, drawers, and open space in the center, and the upper part features two glazed doors and built-in shelves. The door panels feature spheroidal cutouts, counting a fantastic rhythmic and haptic surface to the front, giving this distinctive piece aesthetics Rivadossi is known for this graphical visualization is intensified by the oakwood possessions, which show vivid wood grains—an excellent article established by intensive hand-planed and festooned finishes. Giuseppe Rivadossi (1935) was born in Monteclana di Nave, Italy, where he still lives and works. At a young age, Rivadossi's direction begins with wood carving, with works reflecting his poetic idea of living. In 1962 Rivadossi took over the carpentry founded in 1920 by his father Clemente, which he transformed into an atelier, or rather an innovative workshop. Eventually, Rivadossi and collaborators established 'Officina Rivadossi' in 1976, where he started the manufacture of wooden objects and unique modern furniture.
