Le Corbusier Les Unites d´Habitation Room Divider Cabinet Firminy 1960s

About the Item

Very rare room divider and pass through storage system by Le Corbusier out of the housing complex in Firminy, France. The "unite d´habitation" in Firminy, which was created between 1965 - 1967, was a large housing complex in France. It comprises 17 levels served by seven "storey" streets comprising 414 duplex apartments, making the unit the largest of the five existing in the world at its time. One of the last design created by Le Corbusier before he tragically died in 1965. The cabinet is finished on all sides and each side contains two pairs of sliding doors. Made by solid mahagony.
