Marvelous Louis-Maurice-Alphonse Herold carved and inlaid walnut Marquetry Collector's Cabinet. The middle part lifts up for storing objects, as shown on one of the pics. The middle part behind the glass also lights up with a manual switch nine also show on one of the pics at side angle). Exhibited: L'Art dans Tout, Paris 1901. Literature: Alastair Duncan, "The Paris Salons" 1895-1914, Volume III; Furniture, Antique Collectors' Club, Woodbridge, 1996, page 287 this cabinet illustrated at the above mentioned exhibition.
