English Georgian Mahogany Bow Front Chest of Three Drawers, Diamond Stringing

About the Item

English Georgian mahogany bowfront chest of three drawers with French feet and diamond shaped stringing on a boxwood ground. The skirt is shaped on all three sides and is set off by the inlaid stringing with a diamond motif. The drawers have thumbnail moldings and are nicely dovetailed with oak and pine drawer linings . This chest has been refinished using the traditional methods of French polishing. The handles are old replacements and minor repairs have been made so all of the drawers run nicely and it is ready to be used on a daily basis. Circa 1810.
