Japanese 19th Century Meiji Period Brown and Black Tansu Clothing Chest

About the Item

An antique Japanese Meiji period tansu clothing chest from the 19th century, with black and brown patina. Created in Japan during the 19th century, this tansu chest features a rectangular top sitting above seven drawers surrounding a side door hiding additional drawers. Boasting brown, black and dark red tones, the chest showcases lateral handles allowing the piece to be moved more easily.
