About the Item

This very rare cabinets were designed in the 1960s by Haug Snekkeri for Danish furniture maker Bruksbo. There were likely only a few hundred ever made, and we have a matching pair. Almost certainly a custom order, these have bookmatched rosewood tops and backs, and even some of the interior drawers have bookmatching rosewood grain. In fact, it's hard to find anything on this cabinet that isn't rosewood. The top, sides, and back are all of finished high-contrast rosewood. The legs are turned solid rosewood, and the interior is also fully rosewood, down to the small drawers. It seems that only the large drawer changes it up with a maple interior. As you would expect, the quality is impeccable. Long and low, these feature a super sleek design with two sliding doors and a large drawer on the left. The doors slide open to reveal large shelf space on the right and a sliding felt-lined cutlery drawer and three smaller drawers on the left. Beautiful and functional, you will love these cabinets in your home. In great condition. Upon purchase, they will receive a light restoration. This involves refinishing faded areas such as the tops and the drawerfronts. They will be hand-sanded and have new finish applied. This will be followed by a protective clear-coat. We have decades of experience refinishing these kinds of pieces. Please ask us for examples of our work if interested or take a look at our other refinished items.
