About the Item
This particular and rare bar cabinet was produced in the 1950s in Italy.
It is entirely red lacquered with a gold leaf decoration that makes this cabinet one of a kind.
The profiles and the glass top are black while the handles and the tips are made of brass.
Original label and stamp inside. (‘Esposizione Permanente Mobili Cantù’)

It was produced most likely in 1939 in Mariano Comense which is a small village near Milan by the artist Giuseppe Anzani.
Anzani has been one of the greatest, if not the greatest wood crafter and inlaid maker. Later on, he started also to master the art of wood inlay, becoming the most skilled inlayer of all times.
