About the Item

Rare Italian Art Deco Bar Cabinet, 1930s - Marquetry, Jade Inlay & Marble Top This exceptional and rare Art Deco bar cabinet from the 1930s is a masterpiece of Italian craftsmanship, originally sourced from a noble Lombard residence. The cabinet is a stunning fusion of Italian Art Deco elegance and Chinese decorative influence, featuring meticulous details and high-end materials throughout. Luxurious Materials: Marble, Jade & Exotic Veneers The structure is anchored by a thick white marble base, providing stability for its generous proportions, and crowned by an opulent red marble top that adds weight and sophistication to the piece. The four doors are an artistic focal point: each one is a masterfully inlaid panel with jade, hard stones, and intricate painting, depicting Chinese vases, florals, and traditional tea rituals-a clear homage to chinoiserie style, interpreted through the lens of Italian Art Deco. Ingenious Interior Design: Function Meets Beauty Behind each door lies a hidden world of elegant design and luxurious utility. The first left door opens to reveal mirrored panels with integrated glass shelves framed in brass, ideal for bottle display. Below, a carved wooden plate rack with onyx detailing and two mirrored drawers with brass knobs completes the section. The two central doors feature a rotating opening mechanism that unveils a breathtaking semicircular bar niche in glass with a back panel clad in onyx, creating a striking contrast of textures and reflections. The far-right door mirrors the design of the left: mirrored panels, floating glass shelves, and brass trims, designed to accommodate glasses, bottles, or collectables. An Unrepeatable Collector's Piece Every element of this bar cabinet speaks of superb craftsmanship, from the sculpted handles to the elaborate inlays. It is both a statement piece and a functional work of art, perfectly suited for collectors, connoisseurs, or luxury interior designers seeking a unique and majestic focal point.

Fine Carved and Ebonized Bar Cabinet
Located in Milano, IT
Splendid bar cabinet designed in the 1920s, of fine Italian craftsmanship, with great mastery of woodwork. The cabinet has two legs at the base that cover the entire depth of the base. The feet are made of wood and have a style that is, to say the least, classical, reminiscent of ancient Greek structures; they are made of white-painted grisaille wood. The central body has a very massive rectangular shape. Both the base and the top are bevelled and have a frame that protrudes, like the friezes on the columns. The top is framed by a very classical Greek fret in white painted wood. The base, on the other hand, is made entirely of ebonised wood, which gives an even more sumptuous effect. The cabinet at the front displays two doors that can be opened by means of a brass key in original patina. Each door is decorated with a rectangular antique Greek frame...

Chinese Antique Colonial Showcase in Fine Wood
Located in Milano, IT
Gorgeous antique showcase of fine French manufacture, created for English colonists, belonging to the 1800s. This stunning display case is made entirely of a very fine dark wood, fabulously crafted and embellished. There are 4 feet to support the structure, S-shaped in fine wood, black in color, very durable. The feet are decorated with simply fantastic wooden spheres. Above we see a rectangular frame decorated like a frieze, with various squiggles and wooden spheres that go to create bunches of grapes, which give a really beautiful and scenic effect. Going up we see two window opening doors, very beautiful, with spherical wooden handles. The decorations are located in the center of the rectangle of the sash: the subject is a flowering tree branch with a sweet little bird perched on it, supreme nature prevails. Going up further rises the showcase proper, again framed by the wood used for the base. There is a central handle at the left side, which helps to open the one window sash...

Chinoiserie Cabinet by Giambattista Gianotti, Unique piece
By Paolo Buffa, Serafino Arrighi
Located in Milano, IT
Rare chinoiserie cabinet with polychrome decorations made in Giambattista Gianotti's Officine Riunite d'Arte Decorativa (Room 116) for the II Biennial - Lombard Section - Room with Furniture and Stained Glass Windows of the Officine Riunite d'Arte Decorativa. Unique Exemplar. The extraordinary piece of furniture is dated 1925. The piece of furniture is an extraordinary example of great cabinet making and woodworking. In fact, these special features are denoted by the manic inlays inserted in the cabinet. The inlays are perfect even in its smallest elements. Its depictions are mainly ornaments and floral elements. These inlays are found on the crown of the cabinet, on the sides, and on the legs. The cabinet opens via two lockable doors. Inside we find great magic! We are greeted by numerous walnut wood drawers of various sizes that can be opened with wooden knobs. Each wooden door is finely carved with ornaments and natural elements such as flowers and birds. The two main doors inside are also finely carved. Let's call it a chinoiserie piece of furniture because of this element that contradicts it: the numerous cabinets inserted inside, where opening this piece of furniture looks like opening a secret chest...
