Circa 1780 Georgian period linen press, English. Choice solid mahogany & mahogany veneers. Cavetto molded corner paneled triple hinged doors. The crown featuring paterae inlays of satinwood & stained sycamore with a dentil & circle carved molding. Original bracket feet. Original interior linen slides, 3 of 4 intact; some restoration to remove wardrobe fittings. Bail & rosette pulls on the lower section of 2 short over 2 long drawers. Typical house-keeping repairs commensurate with age & use. One missing escutcheon. At waist: 46.5" w., 23.25" d. At feet: 47 5/8" w., 23 5/8" d.
