Early 19th Century Biedermeier Secretary, Germany, 1820 Birchwood Antique Biedermeier secretary made of birch wood, handmade in Berlin around 1820. With its dimensions of 110 x 52 x 197 cm, it offers plenty of storage space thanks to its four drawers and numerous compartments. The secretary impresses with its timeless design in the Empire & Biedermeier style and is a real original. The pull buttons complete the overall picture. Perfect as a statement piece in any living room or office. Impressive hat box with volutes, an ebonized strip under the cornice, a drawer underneath, followed by the cabinet, with 8 small drawers, a stepped drawer in the middle, an arched door, a wide drawer above, followed by 3 drawers all with locks, 4 keys included. Condition: Condition of this secretary is very good. This piece of furniture has been restored. The surface is finished with hand polished shellack. Rady to use.
