About the Item

Architectural and elegant empire secretary, made in high quality with many refined intarsia details. By a Copenhagen master carpenter, member of the Guild of Carpenters, ca. 1810. The secretary is in two parts. The center top cabinet has two drawers - a larger drawer surrounded by line inlay in light maple, at the top a smaller drawer finished with intarsia work in Satin wood. Top top with fine intarsia work in walnut, lemon and maple. Sides in the form of archways. Center with three columns with chains, top in fan shape. Secretary's lower part with writing flap with lowered semicircle surrounded by line intarsia. Sides with light inlays at top and bottom with semicircle in dark walnut. Behind the writing surface: Numerous drawers in light maple with inlays in satin wood, walnut etc. Measurements H: 170,5 B: 97,5 D: 46,5 / 73 cm
