This is a fantastic, versatile and luminous Chinoiserie red and gold paint decorated secretary desk with a bookcase top. The desk is two pieces and does come apart and has a fantastic antique patina and signs of age and wear that I believe are mostly intentional. The desk is Italian-made and done in the Rococo taste. The desk dates to the 1930s era.
