Northern Italian Walnut Two-Part Secretary
About the Item
Stunning, c. 1820, solid walnut, two-tier, fall-front scriviana from the Piedmont district of Northern Italy. The paneled doors in the upper cabinet bordered by relief carved acanthus leaves surrounding a center medallion of blossoms. The lower half opening to a fall front desk inset with drawers and a center compartment above two more, relief carved doors bordered by images of vases amidst foliate details. Original hardware.
