19th Century Red Lacquer Chinese Console Cabinet Sideboard

About the Item

The red lacquered polished finish on this Chinese sideboard or console provides a modern look allowing it to serve well in a contemporary setting. The original red painted finish was worn down throughout revealing areas of natural elmwood below, creating great dimension and character. The lacquer finish is well buffed, which allows one to run fingers along the smooth finish. Restored, strong and stable; ready to be placed and enjoyed. A traditional pin holds the cabinet doors in place. One interior shelf. While there are typical age-related scratches, scuffs, etc. with old cracks along the top, doors and sides, they do not detract from the beauty nor function of this special find. Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition, and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting all impact how item is viewed. Photos are part of item description, please ask questions or request additional photos of specific areas if needed.
