French traditional hand-crafted 2-door sideboard in solid oak, white lacquered
About the Item
This 2-door sideboard is a handmade and modernized interpretation of the French Directoire style at the end of the 18th century. This period is remarkable with its straight, classical and timeless lines, often diamonds and /or grooves.
The dimensions and designs of the furniture fronts have been adapted to our current interiors.
The 2 doors open and close with 2 keys in brass and have a lock. Inside, 2 compartments are separated by a vertical wooden panel. The 2 shelves are height- adjustable on wooden racks.
All 3 drawers have dovetails mounted fronts for more strength and better durability.
The finish is a "chestnut" oak stain for the top. Other parts are white lacquered.

MON PETIT MEUBLE FRANCAIS is a new brand launched in September 2018 by Eric Weiler (founder) and Eric Gizard (designer). We deliver 100% made in France high-end and top quality furniture pieces. Main material is wood, mainly ash, oak and cherry. Our wood comes exclusively from sustainably managed French forests. The craft-handed manufacture in the Loire Countryside and Bretagne ensures robustness and a very long life cycle for each piece. All our models are already fully assembled in our workshops. Eric Gizard is a famous French Designer in Paris and works several Fashion and Luxury Brands. He sublimates with his very fluid and elegant design each piece of our collections EGEE and KUBE. More over and previous to the launch of MON PETIT MEUBLE FRANCAIS, in 2010, Eric Weiler took over an old cabinet-maker named GONTIER established in France since 1920. French Traditional pieces and new designed models from GONTIER are also proposed on 1st Dibs.
This sidboard is also available in wild cherry and ash wood.
