Pair of Rose Tarlow Demilune Adam Sideboard Cabinets
About the Item
Rare pair of grand painted demilune sideboard storage cabinets designed by Rose Tarlow, Melrose House Hollywood, California. The large cabinets feature a demi-lune form each having four doors opening to a shelved storage area. Designed and decorated in the English 18th century Adams style with neoclassical urns centered on each door. The cases are beautifully lacquered with an intentionally aged, distressed patina having craquelure finish. The tops of the sideboards are decorated with whimsical sunburst motifs. The center storage of one cabinet has lined silver drawers. The cases are supported by tapered legs. Made on a large scale with a dramatic profile. Sold as a pair.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Beautifully crafted with solid and sturdy joinery and construction. Intentionally aged, distressed patina on the lacquer finish to mimic age as seen in photos. Age appropriate wear with minor chips, scuffs, and scratches which are difficult to see.
