About the Item

Pair of sideboards, models 503 and 501 by Gianfranco Frattini for Bernini, Italy, 1950s A rare and refined pair of sideboards, models 503 and 501, designed by Gianfranco Frattini for Bernini in 1950s Italy. Both pieces feature an elegant wooden structure and are characterized by the use of roll-top tambour doors that conceal the internal compartments with refined discretion. Model 503 includes four drawers on one side and two open shelves on the other. Model 501 features four storage compartments behind its tambour doors. Frattini's mastery is evident in the balance between form and function, with clean lines, high-quality craftsmanship, and a sophisticated approach to modularity and storage design. These pieces reflect the timeless elegance of mid-century Italian furniture and are increasingly sought after by collectors and design enthusiasts alike. Very good vintage condition, with minor signs of wear consistent with age and use.
