Very Large Floating Sideboard by Poul Nørreklit for Sigurd Hansen, Denmark 1969

About the Item

Large impressive Danish floating sideboard consisting of five separate elements in very good condition. Designed by Poul Nørreklit in 1969. Manufactured by Sigurd Hansen, Denmark. This sideboard is made in a Brazilian rosewood with a beautiful grain and a warm natural color. It consists of five hanging wall cabinets that together create one large floating sideboard. (495 cm / 195 Inch) There are three units with double doors and two units with drawers that can be combined in various ways. The units are equipped with the trademark metal knobs which make a nice contrast with the rosewood. The hanging mechanism on the back is well constructed and very secure. Each unit has the following measurements: H: 49.5 cm / 1' 7 1/2" W: 99 cm / 3' 3" D: 45 cm / 1' 5 3/4". Wall Mounted ‘Les Arcs’ Cabinet in very good condition. Designed by Charlotte Perriand in the 1970s for the Les Arcs ski resort in France. This beautiful two door cabinet is made from Solid pine, laminate and veneered lacquered panels. The top is made from a anthracite laminate and is framed by a solid pine wooden rim. The doors and sides of the cabinet are made from a white lacquered veneer, on the doors you can find two large solid pine knobs. There is one shelve behind each of the doors. The cabinet was fully restored and is in very good condition. We have a similar model in another listing.
