About the Item
We are delighted to offer for sale this very rare George III mahogany sideboard from Ince Castle Saltash and restored in 1988 for Patricia Viscountess Boyd.
A very rare find, i have included a picture of the sideboard in the bottom right-hand corner of the dining room, you can just see the left side of it, i have outlined the piece in red.
It’s a fantastic piece, clearly after Chippendale with those square legs and hand carved floral details.
The sideboard internally has been amended to house bottles and take cutlery naturally, all this can be removed should the new owners wish.
The piece has patina marks from honest use and genuine age, some on the top, i can have it French polished for cost price should the new owners wish.
