About the Item

A simple Provincial silhouette and a nostalgic patina give this antique wooden vitrine an air of yesteryear. Made in France at the turn of the century, this piece would have likely originally been used as a display case for fine chinaware and other treasured possessions of a country household. The windows of the cupboard doors give a view onto an array of interior shelves, freshly painted in a cool cream. The once-painted surface of the cabinet has weathered to a unique color palette of slate grey, eggshell and pale sepia, while the natural wood of the countertop offers a warm counterpoint.
