Italian 19th Century Louis XVI St. Giltwood And Alabastro Stone Center Table
About the Item
An impressive and most decorative Italian 19th century Louis XVI st. giltwood and Alabastro stone center table. The large scale circular table is raised by fine mottled bun feet below and elegant triangular bottom tier with concave sides, cut corners, and a striking richly carved central finial of a bouquet with charming blooming flowers. Three beautiful cabriole legs lead upwards with superb scrolled designs, adorned with large intricately detailed acanthus leaves, and a wave like design at the border. Above each leg are fine block rosettes at the apron with remarkable carved blooming flowers centering a tied ribbon all below a beautiful Alabastro stone top.
