Ridiculous - ONE is part of the ONE series
ONE is a single sheet of metal. From its flat shape as a sheet it is forged and bended into the third dimension. This movement is visible in its shape. It shows the strength of the steel and combines old forging techniques with modern design.
It is designed to have a sculptural quality. To be the simplest thing but have the strongest presence. A brutal elegancy.
Ridiculous - ONE comes in two different finishes. All finishes are conserved by a strong varnish.
Frank Penders combines his experience as a photographer, metal worker and civil engineer. A strong combination of aesthetic, conceptual, hands-on and technical qualities that he uses to design to the purest shapes.
His practice stretches from steel stairs till small objects.
