About the Item

A delightful little 1950s artist's palette knock-down side or coffee table. This is in the style of Lucien De Roeck (see his designs for a similar table manufactured by Bois Manu, for the 1958 Brussels Expo). Elegant, delicate kitsch, pop-art, atomic style. Clear laquered wood, plastic edging, screw-in black lacquered wooden legs. The legs detach and fit neatly into the base for transport or storage (note good value shipping!). Good original un-restored condition. Some general signs of age that gives it a lovely patina and character. However, if you require this to be re-finished, we can have it re-finished by our restorer at-cost. (References: Modernist, midcentury, 1950s, kitsch, pop-art).
