About the Item

A Chinese Qing Dynasty period elmwood coffee table from the 19th century, with chow legs and carved apron. Created in China during the Qing Dynasty (1636–1912), this low table, which could nowadays be used as a coffee table (the Chinese didn't used coffee tables in the 19th century) features a rectangular top with central board, sitting above a waisted apron pierced with a regular rhythm of oblong motifs. It is the base however, which attracts the attention with its four chow legs connected to one another through a carved apron on all four sides. The table will therefore be able to float and be seen from all angles. We review all of our pieces and address issues we may find before they leave for your home; however, this is an antique piece, and as such it will keep its character and some imperfections, which is the quintessence of antique and vintage furniture. With its elegant lines and brown patina, this Chinese Qing Dynasty period low table will make for a great addition to any living room or covered patio!.
