We are delighted to offer for sale this very nicely made Mid-Century Modern Clam Sea Shell console table after the original by Groult
A very collectable and well made, decorative console table, I found this in a very dusty antiques shop in Deulin Belgium, it had been hidden for god knows how long under various other pieces, missed by everyone until I found it, what a find, what a decorators delight!
If you do a little research you will see pairs of these tables for sale at £20,000 with this same colour finish, others unpainted for a little less that this one in nude plaster. This is made with a pine frame and plaster finish which has then been polychrome painted in the Italian style
The condition is excellent for the period, there may be some light age and use related patina marks here and there as you would expect
