This long-standing favorite, which formed part of the original collection of Art Deco inspired designs, has been relaunched over the years in various finishes to offer a more contemporized look. With its Classic form and spark of modern-day glamour, this piece has the potential to transform a room. The Albany offers the perfect hallway console, either standing alone or as a pair. Or, position in your living room, where it can serve to display favorite antiques, a carefully-selected sculptural piece, or photos in frames of assorted sizes. The silhouette is directly inspired by the work of iconic furniture designer Emile-Jacques Ruhlmann, whose innovative sense of style was a pioneering force in the world of design. Davidson takes inspiration from Ruhlman's commitment to scrupulous craftsmanship, and our designs celebrate and pay homage to Art Deco grace, proportion and harmony. With a fresh twist on a Classic design, Davidson has created a stand-out piece of luxury furniture that has the power to bring a room together. Round off the Albany’s nonchalant elegance with a vase filled with greenery or a trio of artworks in frames of equal size. Or, complete the look with a smart lamp and a Davidson mirror hanging above, in a matching or complementing finish. The original Albany console was designed in high-gloss sycamore black with heavy polished-nickel detailing for a glamorous look. Other finish options include a hand-tinted satin sycamore and Macassar ebony, as well as distressed silver for edgy allure. The polished nickel castellated block is a defining characteristic of the original design, with its gleaming stepped detail, which is machine-milled in one fixed size. However, all our tables are available in any of the luxury finishes from our range. Other options include an ebonized block for something more classical and pared-back. A trim around the lower edge of the table in the matching material of your choice is then added to complete the look. Metal detailing is also available in polished brass, antiqued brass, or bronze. Opt for bronze for a warmer look, while polished nickel creates metallic panache. This piece of furniture is available to the size required in any of Davidsons' luxury range of finishes.
