A large and very fine Italian 19th century Florentine Baroque style giltwood carved wall console table with marble top. The ornately carved rectangular shaped scrolled body frame in a leaf and floral design with scrolling foliate and acanthus, fitted with a rectangular cast/molded top with a Siena marble veneer top. Circa: Florence, 1850.

- Condition:Repaired: The ornately carved console has some old carving repairs, areas of re-gilt and touch ups. The veneer marble top has areas with old patches, repairs and replacement pieces, restorations which is typical for pieces of this age. Additions or alterations made to the original: Converted from a table to a wall console. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. A truly stunning and very impressive console table. Overall current condition is very good, but with several old repairs, replacements and areas of re-gilt in 22 cart burnished gold leaf. The marble veneer has repairs & replacement areas. View photos.
