French 19th Century Louis Philippe Period Flamed Mahogany Console
About the Item
A stunning and high quality French 19th century Louis Philippe Period flamed Mahogany console. The solid Mahogany freestanding console is raised on lovely circular mottled feet joined by a Mahogany display tier below exceptional and most decorative spiraled turned legs with mottled foliate bases and top caps. Leading up the back is an impressive Mahogany backplate showcasing an intricately carved reserve of a circular rosette surrounded by large scale palmettes in front of crossed staves with mottled and foliate designs. Above is the striking apron showcasing a delicate wave designed band below the flamed Mahogany front which is flanked by tapered foliate reserves below the rounded front corners and solid Mahogany top.
