About the Item
The Henry Console
The Henry Console is designed and finished by hand in our Toronto studio.
Based on details from the brutalist movement. The minimal construction of the console showcases the raw edge steel plates that have been gold leafed and aged by hand.
Characteristics of brutalist design is illustrated in the geometric shapes and angular lines. Natural elements of steel, wood, raw edges and metallics combined to In terms of shapes and form an organic detail, with rough and unpolished textures with a extreme minimal and streamlined body caring for function over anything else.
The steel plates are cut into shape with a technique of torch cutting, creating a molten, unfinished edge, creating a reference to a organic, natural shape.
This design can be customized in size, layout and materials used. It is show with a solid walnut top but it can also be ordered with a stone top with a smooth edge or chiseled edge.
