Piero De Martini, born in Milan in 1939, is an architect and designer. After graduating in Architecture in 1964 he started working in residential architecture and conservation. Since 1969 he has dealt with residential and furniture design and in 1975 he begins working with Cassina, marking the beginning of the furnishing system “La Barca”, ash wood objects, set together in different ways creating sofas, tables and beds.
