Louis XV Style Marble Top Carved Giltwood Console w/ Cherub & Figural Decoration
About the Item
A wonderfully carved Louis XV style giltwood console with shaped marble top, cabriole legs with figures and scrolled feet, intertwined cherubs and foliate decoration, with a base stretcher adorned with basket of flowers. Continental in origin, dating to the late 19th or early 20th century in very good condition, with a crack in the marble top, some minor gilt losses, and other imperfections and wear commensurate with age and use. Dimensions: 35.75 in H x 61 in W x 17 in D. Ref: 8
