About the Item
Swedish Biedermeier Art Deco style pedestal partners desk with the finest grade Mahogany veneers on probably a birch frame in a classic deep rich darker color French polish finish.
This unique and rare desk is a real find and is a very special piece. It comes with a COA from the Swedish Handicraft and Small Industry Organization dated Vännäs, 26 June 1947.
The desk and has a delicious curved design with excellent storage in the pedestals and shelving on the back.
The deep french polished finish has a great lustre with an ormolu style band on the top edge and this biedermeier art deco influenced desk is in good condition for its age.
It was made in 1947 by Johan Vilhelm Karlsson.
The desk has three main drawers, 6 bentwood drawers in the left hand pedestal and good storage in the right pedestal with a single top drawer.
Great for laptop work or as a presentation piece. One of the finest Biedermeier Art Deco style influence desks we have ever found.

- Condition:Repaired: It has probably had some small repairs during its life. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor structural damages. Minor fading. The desk will be fully repolished prior to shipping by our specialist french polisher. This takes approx 2 weeks. It is structurally sound and has some small marks of wear and tear. The desk is currently in our swedish storage and will land UK sep 21.
