About the Item

Gaetano work table by Gae Aulenti for Zanotta. The original beveled crystal top edged in red, supported by two folding black enameled aluminum trestles with rubber shelf supports. A still topical piece of furniture with a minimalist design and versatile placement, it can be exploited in the professional and domestic spheres. Gae Aulenti, a pseudonym for Gaetana Emilia Aulenti (1927 - 2012), graduated in architecture from the Milan Polytechnic in 1953, was an Italian designer and architect, considered one of the best architects of her generation, left an indelible mark on the history of international design, over the course of her long career she won numerous awards. The Zanotta company, founded in 1954, is recognized as a major player in the history of Italian Design. From the 1960s onward, guided by the intuition and extraordinary entrepreneurial ability of its founder Aurelio Zanotta, it conquered the international scene thanks to its products, which are emblematic in terms of both formal and technological innovation.
