About the Item
The Sandhill Table is a fully handmade and hand-forged dining table. It draws from the American Arts and Crafts movement in the areas where the wood smoothly transitions into the steel. This table will be build by hand in the Erickson Woodworking shop, where each piece of wood is carefully selected to work together as a whole.
The hand-forged base of the Sandhill Table, with its low, out of the way profile, is very functional in addition to being beautiful: you can sit a chair anywhere at the table.
With pieces in the Smithsonian's Museum of American Art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the Yale University Art Gallery, Erickson Woodworking brings in elements of mid-century modern, California craftsman, and modern sculpture in a way that are uniquely its own.
